Irish Gravesites

On my mother's side my great grandmother came from Ireland here to the United States. For others that have ancestors in Ireland you can look up where they are buried at Irish Graveyards . There is an ongoing project where grave sites are being transcribed and added on signs to each church graveyard.

If for some reason the church does not have the records then records are taken from the locals as to who is buried where. I was able to find my great grandmother's brother, wife and son in Bohola Cemetery. I am sure they will be updating this site in early spring next year as some places are not done yet. There are also pictures of the grave sites listed. Unfortunately the link to my family's pictures seems to be broken. Please give this site a try and tell my what you think.

I am Back!

Been away for a bit on this blog. Busy trying to get my life in order and get a goal started. I am trying to make it a priority to put at least one day to doing family history and then post here my findings.

Today I found not only was my father's grandfather cremated in Queens but so was his brother-in-law who died in a house fire in 1980.

I am also in the process of getting my great Uncle's death certificate so we can see where he is buried. That is where the rest of the family should be we hope. My father's side of the family has been tough to figure out.
